The documentary, "Torn From the Flag", has received strong recognition and kudos for its exposure of the Soviet Socialist oppression of Hungry in 1956. You can see this trailer. The film is particuarly notable insofar as two Hungarian refugess who shot 30,000 feet of footage - Laszlo Kovacs and Vilmos Zsigmond - became very prominent Directors of Photography in Hollywood. History is a key element to understanding the future. The Soviet Socialist invasion of Hungary might've been the start of their decline. Several things came about:
•Soviet Socialist was not embraced by people everywhere but imposed like the left-wing and liberal fascist dictatorship that it was. The bravery of the Hungarian people to defy the Socialist powerhouse spoke to the world.
•The United Nations of Democracies and Dictatorship was equally as weak, feckless and undesireable then as it is now.
I haven't seen this film but have spoke to people who have. They are calling it essential. Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Socialist country an 'Evil Empire'. We are finding out just how right he was.
