When you don't fit an agenda, then you can't ask a question. Let's get that straight - that's the basic Leftstream Journalism method. If it don't fit, then kill the question. It reminds me of a modified quote by socialist-murderer Josef Stalin quote, "If there is a man, there is a problem. No man, no problem." Only in this case, when its science that should entertain all questions, when 'there is a question, there is a problem. No question, no problem.'
Solution: Ask Lots of Questions, especially with authority.
Global warming promoter and alarmist Stephen Schneider once believed in Global Cooling. So he's getting asked questions by filmmaker Phelim McAleer who did the expose documentary, "Not Evil, Just Wrong" about the climate hysteria. McAleer asks about the emails in Climategate - some of which were Stephen Schneider's. Schneider attempts to discredit rather than even admit, as the University of East Anglia and Phil Jones has, are real emails.
So they attempt to shut down the Press (McAleer was accredited as a journalist along with his cameraman) by grabbing his microphone, having Schneider's assistant talk to him, getting a Security Guard to threaten him and then avoid him.
So much for both Free Speech, Free Press and the art of Science and Questions. These scientists might readily recall and revile the Catholic Church's (and others) attempt to shut down science five hundred years ago or more with threats and ignorance. And now they don't see how the shoe fits?
The president has packed his economic team with Wall Street insiders intent on turning the bailout into an all-out giveaway
From of all sources, the Rolling Stone Magazine, you can about the interweaved elements of the Obama Adminstration, Robert Reich, Robert Rubin and a whole cast of character who manipulated the bailout and other financial sources from the U.S. Taxpayer to enrich themselves. The fact that the Rolling Stone - rather than some leftstream Media outlets like ABC, CBS, New Yerk Times, etc., - has broken the story is a story in itself. For what is a greater expose of Bias by Omission than the ACORN-Prostitution stories and perhaps the fraud on Wall Street. Normally, the press hungers for stories of Wall Street greed - so what happened Diane Sawyer? Leftie Katie Couric?
What's taken place in the year since Obama won the presidency has turned out to be one of the most dramatic political about-faces in our history. Elected in the midst of a crushing economic crisis brought on by a decade of orgiastic deregulation and unchecked greed, Obama had a clear mandate to rein in Wall Street and remake the entire structure of the American economy. What he did instead was ship even his most marginally progressive campaign advisers off to various bureaucratic Siberias, while packing the key economic positions in his White House with the very people who caused the crisis in the first place. This new team of bubble-fattened ex-bankers and laissez-faire intellectuals then proceeded to sell us all out, instituting a massive, trickle-up bailout and systematically gutting regulatory reform from the inside.
One of the main cast of characters, Robert Rubin, is described thusly:
The irony of Bob Rubin: He's an unapologetic arch-capitalist demagogue whose very career is proof that a free-market meritocracy is a myth. Much like Alan Greenspan, a staggeringly incompetent economic forecaster who was worshipped by four decades of politicians because he once dated Barbara Walters, Rubin has been held in awe by the American political elite for nearly 20 years despite having fucked up virtually every project he ever got his hands on. He went from running Goldman Sachs (1990-1992) to the Clinton White House (1993-1999) to Citigroup (1999-2009), leaving behind a trail of historic gaffes that somehow boosted his stature every step of the way.
TCA -- Director Oliver Stone's upcoming Showtime documentary miniseries "Secret History of America" promises to put mass murderers such as Stalin and Hitler "in context."
"Stalin, Hitler, Mao, McCarthy -- these are people who have been vilified pretty thoroughly by history," Stone told reporters at the Television Critics Association's semi-annual press tour in Pasadena.
"Stalin has another story," Stone said. "Not to paint him as a hero, but he fought the German war machine more than any single person. Hitler is an easy scapegoat throughout history. He's the product of a series of actions. People in America don't know the connection between WWI and WWII. I've been able to walk in Stalin's shoes and Hitler's shoes. We're going to educate our minds and liberalize them and broaden them. We want to move beyond opinions. Go into the funding of the Nazi party. How many American corporations were involved. Hitler is a product of a series of events, just a man who could have been assassinated."
Stone said that conservative pundits will dislike the show.
On this site, the writer has a number of concluding thoughts of interest:
Concluding thought #1: This list is by no means exhaustive. Frankly, I stopped when I couldn’t take it anymore. Feel free to dig in and dredge some stuff up in the comments or on your own blog.
Concluding thought #2: Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, call your office. Seriously. There were a slew of others that I didn’t include in the above list and the vast majority were in Australia. I realize that the event was created by Australian students and would thus be disproportionately Australian, but still.
Concluding thought #3: The fact that one of the event administrators goes to a college that describes itself as “progressive,” “inviting,” and “inclusive” surpries no one. The fact that it is Catholic is a bit perplexing, though.
Concluding thought #4: Why are so many of these anti-Semites — particularly the guy who wants to “Do iiT LiiKe HeTLeR” — fans of Barack Obama? Obviously there’s nothing he can do about that. But what precisely is it about him that attracts the support of anti-Semites, Arab nationalists, and Islamists?
Concluding thought #5: Although Catholic by religion I have Jewish heritage and I’m a proud Zionist, so if any of y’all are still looking for a Jew to punch in the face, let’s roll.
You can fight against this rising antiSemitism on media sites. Look at the sites below to get specific instructions on fighting against slanderous work on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Blogs and other social media websites - all from the convenience of your armchair and computer.
"JewishInternetDefenseForce" - The JIDF believes in direct action both to eradicate the problems we face online and to create the publicity that will cause those with the power (companies like Facebook and Google) to take the needed action themselves. We work to bring together individuals on different fronts, but with similar the goals of Jewish pride, knowledge, and unity, and represent a younger generation of Jewish leaders, a new approach, and a real grassroots effort for change.
Smackdown.org - Our mission at SDC is to fight the spread of terrorist propaganda on YouTube. This is not an effort to stifle free speech. We value free speech as much as the next person. In fact, our efforts are to help protect that right to free speech we value so much. The terrorists use YouTube services for propaganda purposes and to recruit new members for the fight against the West. And make no mistake, those harabist, islamo-fascist terrorists who use our right to free speech, will take that right away if they win.
"Stop Internet Terrorists" - a website with clear instructions on how to Smackdown Terrorist videos on YouTube.
Powerlineblog has a great reference to a recent Rasmussen poll article on the effect of framing a poll question. The key note is that when left-wing Paul Krugman is identified as a "New York Times columnist Paul Krugman" that his unfavorable rates rise and his very unfavorable ratings triple. A virtual unknown, John Fund, has the opposite effect when identified as a "Wall Street Journal columnist" His favorable ratings rise.
For the New York Slimes...uh New York Times, the writing is on the wall. They are no longer journalists but partisan hacks who can't even keep their readers informed of an important scandal like the recent ACORN-pimp parade. Instead, the NYT plays partisan and creates Bias of Omission for the readers that they seek to serve. In the relationship between Business and Customer, this is certainly a deceptive business practice. In the information age, it is more. Fraud. Even NYT readers are complaining that they rely on the paper and don't get the news they deserve.
Most voters (55%) don’t know enough about Paul Krugman to venture even a soft opinion about him. Those with an opinion are fairly evenly divided—22% favorable and 22% unfavorable. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just one-in-10 voters has a strong opinion about Krugman, with four percent (4%) voicing a Very Favorable opinion and six percent (6%) a Very Unfavorable view.
