President Barack Obama said in Turkey: "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values." I found this very interesting.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Speech to the Nation after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941:
To the Congress of the United States:
Yesterday, December 7, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that Nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to the Secretary of State of form reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese Government had deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.
Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya. Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong. Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam. Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands. Last night the Japanese attacked Midway Island.
Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our Nation.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.
Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory. I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces -- with the unbounded determination of our people -- we will gain the inevitable triumph -- so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December seventh, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.
Franklin D. Roosevelt The White House, December 8, 1941
The greatest Revolution is not the Commie Russian Revolution, the Maoist terror Chinese Revolution nor even the French Revolution which did not endure. The French Revolution flowed with blood (even cows supposedly refused to cross the Place De La Concorde at one time because of the guillotines used there to behead the 'counterrevolutionaries). Subsequently, France had an emperor, several kings, multiple Republics and more.
The American Revolution, however, has endured centuries. Check out theAmerican Revolution Center, established to teach young people about our Great Revolution. And maybe our next Revolution.
The American Revolution Center will establish the first national museum to commemorate the entire story of the American Revolution and its enduring legacy. The museum will display its distinguished collection of objects, artifacts, and manuscripts from the American Revolution era and will offer programming, lectures, symposia, and interactive learning for teachers, students, and the general public.
"Climategate" is the recent conflagration embroiling the political and environmental world, based upon the examination and discovery of emails from East Anglia University dealing with the manipulation of data in a massive fraud to gain funding (i.e., grab the cash), manipulate the economies of billions of people with an energy tax scheme and deny that scientific data should be examined in - well - a scientific manner.
And Legislation as Terrorism. Perhaps you haven't made that leap but with the imposition of harsh economic policies on the public whereby Legislative bodies keep raising taxes based upon their agenda with a declining economy. If you drive a car, use a lightbulb, plug in a computer, use a hot water heater, then you will have to pay in one way or the other. And if it's a complete fraud, then it's economic warfare.
Several articles can give you the details on "Climategate" but recently the Australian government suffered the defection of five MP's rather than vote for fraudulent legislation.
As if you didn't know it already, the Teachers Unions, particularly the NEA, spend tons of money on political causes that have little to benefit to the children - only the members of these unions.
1) Now We Have Proof: NEA Is the Largest Political Spender in America. And it's not even close.
Since the rise of the Internet, we have been able to more easily track political spending. The Center for Responsive Politics has led the way in documenting and accounting for all the different ways money is spent on federal campaigns. Alas, tracking similar spending at the state level has been more of a hit-or-miss proposition. Disclosure laws vary from state to state, and electronic reporting of results has been sporadic.
By far the largest political spender for the 2007-08 election cycle was the National Education Association, with more than $56.3 million in contributions. The teachers' union outdistanced the second-place group by more than $12 million.
Believe it or not, the report understates NEA's spending, since it places political expenditures made in concert with the American Federation of Teachers in a separate category. "NEA AFT' ranked 123rd in the nation, contributing more than $3.3 million to campaigns in Colorado, Florida and Oregon. (AFT ranked 25th with almost $13.8 million in contributions.)
Just to put this in perspective, America's two teachers' unions outspent AT&T, Goldman Sachs, Wal-Mart, Microsoft, General Electric, Chevron, Pfizer, Morgan Stanley, Lockheed Martin, FedEx, Boeing, Merrill Lynch, Exxon Mobil, Lehman Brothers, and the Walt Disney Corporation, combined.
A new program instituted in Los Angeles is iWatch.
iWATCH, iREPORT, i KEEP US SAFE (iWATCH) is a community awareness program created to educate the public about behaviors and activities that may have a connection to terrorism.
This program is a community program to help your neighborhood stay safe from terrorist activities. It is a partnership between your community and the Los Angeles Police Department. We can and must work together to prevent terrorist attacks.
To learn about the iWATCH program and about the behaviors and activities that you should report, view the videos and review the list of examples. You can also read and download a brochure that explains the program.
Remember that the iWATCH program is about behaviors and activities, not individuals.
In this video, seniors attending an AARP meeting are confronting various spokespeople, possibly from AARP. These spokespeople don't really want to listen to the seniors. They just want to tell them what to think. Not to mention that the recorded proceedings didn't appear to want the seniors input or perspective. So when the spokespeople couldn't run their way, they up and left.
In today's fast paced, mediacentric world, email hardly makes a dent in a politician's perception. In fact, one Congressman told me that they have an equation for their constituents communications. 1000 emails = 100 phone calls = 10 faxes = 1 letter.
That's right. A handwritten letter actually carries more weight that 1000 emails, 100 phone calls and 10 faxes. In addition, every letter has a 'multiplier,' meaning that each letter actually means that there are 500 to 1000 other constituents with the same point of view.
So here's Your Action Plan. Get Five (5) friends together. You write up this letter (or use the SAMPLE LETTER down below) and print five copies. Have your friends sign the letters and then you put them in envelopes and mail them. If you have the time to make some changes in the letters - order, font, a different opening, etc. and use different colored paper or envelopes, even better. You don't have to go crazy but minor changes make it seem even more spontaneous.
Keep these friends - who would not otherwise write any letters - in your Network. Find friends who will take Action and Establish their own Networks.
My friend, Burt Prelutsky, wrote a great article on Mortarboarding, the indoctrination of children by their left-wing, socialist teachers in spewing anti-American hatred in their classrooms. Why pay for it?
[Disclosure: Burt gave me a testimonial for my book, "Citizen Soldier Handbook"]
So Burt wrote a column discussing the problem and also quotes another friend, Penny Alfonso, who helps run Operation Gratitude to support the troops. Burt's article is here on Big Hollywood and Penny's mandate is superb:
One of my readers, Penny Alfonso, of Glendale, California, shared a conversation she had with her daughter. “I told her I won’t pay the tuition for any classes that end in the word “studies”. I have also told her that while I have no right to tell her how to think, if she comes home hating America and spewing the lies of the leftists, I will tell her I love her, and that she has the right to believe whatever she wants to believe, but I don’t have to pay for it. In the 20 years of her life, if she’s learned nothing else, she has learned that I am completely serious about this.”

"Emancipation, Revelation, Revolution" DVD (381) This DVD shows the path of Civil Rights from the Civil War, through major legislation in the 50's and 60's when most black Americans were Republicans. A fascinating film.
"Broken Promises" - U.N. Corruption and Incompetence Exposed (367) This film, narrated by actor Ron Silver, exposes the incompetence, corruption and blatant bias of the United Nations. Orignally a noble organization, the U.N. is now a morass of discrimination and ineptitude.
