Tell a Joke to Make a Point: Teachers, God and Marines PDF Print E-mail

GOD Is Busy

If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq andAfghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist, and a member of theACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, GOD if you are real then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 min.' the lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting.'

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What in the world is the matter with you? 'Why did you do that?'

The Marine calmly replied, 'GOD was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me.'

The classroom erupted in cheers!

THIS IS GOOD, KEEP IT GOING

Pop Culture Terrorism Against our Children PDF Print E-mail

A friend of mine asked me:  "Why do the Radical Islamists hate us?".  I believe that it is because we represent Freedoms for women's rights, every religion, freedom of speech - even against religions, etc.,    But there is another answer insofar as the American culture is awash with sexual images, violence and more.    In many culture, not just Islamic culture, such behaviors are a sign of decay and immorality. To even moderate Muslims that I spoke to on a trip to the Mideast, these behaviors are excessive and dangerous.

What does this have to do with Terrorism?   Two issues come to mind:  (1) A society with a sense of decorum and restraint may be perceived as less evil.   (2) When you need to count on people in your family and community, then you need to take care fo them.  And especially our children.

David Mamet: "Why I am No Longer a Brain Dead Liberal" PDF Print E-mail
One of America's most prolific and respected playwrights explains why he realized that NPR was really (as he calls its) National Palestine Radio and other tropes of the hard-left.  He explained it in his article, "Why I am no longer a brain dead liberal."

This article is terrific and worth spreading around to socialist friends...who may soon be acquaintances at best.

The documentary, "Torn From the Flag", has received strong recognition and kudos for its exposure of the Soviet Socialist oppression of Hungry in 1956.   You can see this trailer.  The film is particuarly notable insofar as two Hungarian refugess who shot 30,000 feet of footage  - Laszlo Kovacs and Vilmos Zsigmond  - became very prominent Directors of Photography in Hollywood.

Action: Expose PC Nonsense in 'Diversity Training" PDF Print E-mail

In a case of PC nonsenses overtaking the public education system, we see that the stereotypes in Universities are perpetuated by University administrators and teachers.

But Visconti (the student) said the students who designed the roleplay overlooked their own stereotypes, such as the notion that white men don’t have to work for wealth because society gives them a free ride. Or the idea that Christian churches are filled with bigots, and people who support traditional family values such as heterosexual marriage are hateful and narrow-minded. But one student objected.

"ASU student objects to sensitivity exercise"

By David Discobing, For the Tribune January 21, 2007

Arizona State University senior Ryan Visconti was told “his kind” wasn’t welcome — that he was an abomination and an unforgiveable sinner. He pleaded to join the “church,” which was set up Jan. 10 as part of diversity training for ASU dormitory employees.
